Mill Creek Elementary School Office Staff Information
Principal: Mrs. Amy Rogers
This will be Mrs. Rogers’ second year as Mill Creek’s principal and her 20th year in education. Mrs. Rogers hails from the Washington, DC area. She earned her teaching degree in 1998 from the University of Virginia and spent 4 years in the classroom. She then attained her Masters Degree in Counselor Education from Virginia Tech and served as a school counselor in Virginia and Florida. In 2010, her husband’s job at MU’s Veterinary School brought the family to Missouri. Mrs. Rogers has 2 daughters, one in 7th grade and one who will be a senior. She is thrilled to lead our Cougars through another amazing school year!
Assistant Principal: Dr. Kurtis Jensen
This will be Mr. Jensen’s first year as Mill Creek’s Assistant Principal and his 24th year in education. He earned his doctorate from the University of Missouri in 2019 and has spent the past two decades serving in a variety of educational roles. Mr. Jensen has been happily married to his wife, Wendi, for nearly 25 years. She is the owner of Art Underground Downtown in Columbia. They have two sons—Luke who is a junior at Mizzou and a Legislative Assistant in Jefferson City, and Kampbell, a freshman at Hickman who is a passionate baseball player. Mr. Jensen is excited to be a part of the Mill Creek community and looks forward to a great year with our Cougars!
